Pearson Government Solutions Expands
Presence In Corbin, Kentucky
Citizen and Immigration Services and
Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Extend Contracts, Creating 150
New Jobs
ARLINGTON, VA (July 7, 2005) -
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Citizen and Immigration
Services (CIS) agency extended for an additional year their call center
contract with Pearson Government Solutions effective June 1, 2005. As a
result, Pearson will maintain the existing 330 jobs supporting CIS at
its facility in Corbin, Kentucky.
Mac Curtis, President and CEO of Pearson Government Solutions, also
announced that Pearson is expanding its workforce in Corbin through the
addition of customer service representative positions for its contract
with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Centers for
Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).

New Facility to Provide Information
Management Solutions
SAN DIEGO, CA (June 07, 2005) - Anacomp,
Inc. today announced the opening of a new facility in Corbin, Kentucky

Pepsi expanding to superpark

CORBIN, KY (July 8, 2004) - CTA Acoustics is about to have a
new neighbor in the Southeastern Kentucky Regional Industrial Park.
Alvin Sharpe, chairman of the Southeastern Kentucky
Industrial Development Authority, said Pepsi Cola Bottling Company of
Corbin has entered into an agreement with the authority for an 18-year
capital lease on its 55,000 square foot spec building in the superpark.

CTA committed to Corbin, official says

CORBIN, KY - Despite a significant
layoff at CTA Acoustics, the company’s chairman has reaffirmed plans
for the Corbin plant. In a statement released Wednesday by CTA
Chairman Jim Pike, plans for the new 350,000-square foot facility
are still being completed even though the company is seeking to cut
its workforce by about 100 employees over the next two weeks.
“Despite challenging business conditions and our tragedy earlier
this year, there is no change of direction in CTA’s plan,” Pike

Rogers announces deal for Datatrac

CORBIN, KY - U.S. Representative
Hal Rogers (KY-5) has announced that the Department of Homeland
Security (DHS) has awarded a long-term contract that will allow the
Immigration Card Processing Center in Corbin to continue making
fraud-proof identification cards that are used by the federal
government. The 10-year, $149 million contract was awarded directly
to Datatrac Information Services, Inc., which operates the high-tech

state and federal officials gathered in Corbin on Monday to welcome
Corbin's newest industrial citizen. Congressman Harold Rogers, along
with local economic development officials, formally announced plans
by NucSafe to locate a manufacturing facility in south Corbin.
NucSafe, headquartered in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, manufactures a wide
variety of radiation detection equipment systems for the nuclear
safeguards law enforcement agencies and federal agencies charged

County Industrial Authority has approved the issuance of industrial revenue
bonds for up to $43 million to be used for an expansion project at Aisin
Automotive Castings, which is located in Lily, according to Aisin Human
Resources Manager Bruce Daeger. Aisin manufactures aluminum diecast engine
